An odyssey through the 40 year hunt for infamous Black liberation leader Assata Shakur, #2 on the FBI’s most wanted terrorist list. When news of Assata’s failing health reaches her daughter it initiates a race to reconstruct the truth of her life before history — and the state — erase it forever. The film is produced with the exclusive participation of her only child, Kakuya Shakur, her lawyer of 50 years, Lennox Hinds, and her comrade, Angela Davis.
